Manager, Partnership Development

In collaboration with department head, the Manager of Partnership Development at Churchill Downs Race Track will seek out new partnership business within assigned categories and will be responsible for renewing and expanding existing relationships. The Manager of Partnership Development will play a vital role in navigating the sales process to generate new sponsor revenue through corporate partnerships with regional, national and international companies. The person will be a driven, motivated, self-starter, looking to take the next step in the sports & entertainment industry by joining a team responsible for the corporate partnerships and sponsorship revenue of Churchill Downs Racetrack and the Kentucky Derby. A successful candidate will have experience selling corporate partnerships and a proven record of achieving goals, building strategic relationships and generating revenue through successful negotiation of six- and seven-figure deals. This individual will be responsible for generating leads, scheduling meetings and creating proposals and contracts for the senior level sales team. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Partnership Development.
