We’re making memories and engaging our community through this beautiful game. The Wave is looking for a part-time Hospitality Coordinator to help maintain our culture of success. This role will be key to ensuring all of our food service areas for our athletes are well maintained, organized, and stress free. The Hospitality Coordinator will work closely with the Wave Chef to ensure the highest level of service is being met.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and breaks down buffets for breakfast and/or lunch
- Clears and cleans tables and resets all stations for the next service, including handling food and washing dishes.
- Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in all service areas.
- Knowledge of and compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements. San Diego county food handler's card required.
- Ensures all products are restocked and replenished according to FIFO while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in all service areas.
- Communicates with chef regarding quantity, inventory, and equipment needs. Addresses all equipment issues and safety hazards immediately.
- Delivers exceptional service to players and staff while maintaining utmost professionalism.
- Serves as a liaison between dining and kitchen areas.
- Attentiveness to the needs and asks of players and staff, including answering any food or menu related question or concerns.
- Ability to problem solve and address any issues that arise before, during, and after service.
- Assist chef with other tasks as needed.
Work Environment
- Onsite role, typically 5 days/week. Days will vary based on athletes' schedule and travel, so must have flexibility on working days, including weekends and early mornings.
- Part-time role; 5 hours/day
- Position requires standing for long periods of time, carrying and arranging large trays of food, unpacking and sorting deliveries.
